Singapore-Cambridge GCE ’O’ Level Examination

| Introduction : |
The Singapore Cambridge GCE ‘O’ Level Examinations are nation-wide examinations held at the end of Secondary Four. These examinations are held jointly by the Ministry of Education (Singapore) in conjunction with the University Cambridge of Local Examinations Syndicate.

| Objectives : |
The GCE ‘O’ Level is an entry requirement to all polytechnics and the GCE ‘A’ Level and also to most university foundation programmes in Australia, USA, UK, New Zealand and Canada.
|
| Target Students : |
This preparatory course is meant for international students or local students who intend to take the ‘O’ level examination as a private candidate.
|
| Entry Requirement : |
- Must have completed Grade 9 in home country
- Must be at least 15 years of age as on 1st Jan of the examination year
|
| Progression : |
- Good grades in at least 5 subjects to enter into local Polytechnics. Polytechnic graduates with good grades will have the opportunity to pursue tertiary education in local universities, with advanced standing into 2nd year.
- Good grades in 6 subjects to enter a Junior College or centralized institute in Singapore leading to the GCE ‘A’ Level examination for admission to universities in Singapore and overseas.
- Good grades in at least 5 subjects for entry to most university foundation programmes in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, UK and USA
- Average grades for entry to either certificates programmes offered by ITE, NCC, ITE or UCLES.

| Course Certificate : |
Students who are successful in the Singapore Cambridge GCE ‘O’ Level Examinations will be awarded the ‘O’ Level Graduation Certificate by the Singapore Cambridge Examinations Board. |
| Conditions for Course Graduation : |
- Students must have more than 90% attendance and cannot be absent for more than 7 consecutive days without valid reasons (mandated by Immigration and Checkpoints Authority)
- Having passed all subjects in our examination

| External Examinations Registration : |
Yearly in the month of March only
All registration and examination fees are payable by the students directly to the examination bodies. The school will assist the students to register for the GCE ‘O’ level examinations with the Examination Board ie Singapore Examinations and Assessment Baoard (SEAB) online.

Yearly from the months of January to March for examination in the current year.
1.5 years GCE ‘O’ level Examinations Preparatory Course :
Yearly from the months of July to December for examination in the following year.
