Application Guide
All foreign students who come to Singapore to study full-time need to have a student pass issued by Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA). Only the following are exempted from applying a Student's Pass:
- Dependant's Pass holders studying in Government, Government-aided, Independent, Kindergartens or Foreign System Schools;
- Immigration Exemption Order holders.
1. APPLICATION
1.1 Pre-registration
- Fill in Telelingua’s Application Form
- Fill in Immigration Forms – Form 16 and Form V36
- Submit the following documents :
- English Translation & Notary of Student’s Birth Certificate
- English Translation & Notary of Student’s highest Education Certificates and Transcripts
- 3 Recent Passport-sized Photographs (3.5” x 4.5”)
- Photocopy of Student’s Valid Passport
- Bank Statements (for Students from visa-required countries only)
* All the original documents are to be produced for verification purpose
1.2 Registration
Upon meeting the basic entry requirement, Students will be informed if he/she has met the basic requirements.
- Pay application fee of S$500/-
( Application fee is non-refundable and non-transferable)
- Fill Standard Student Contract

3. ADMISSION
- Student will receive offer letter and invoice advice.

4. STUDENT PASS PROCESSING
- Telelingua will submit the necessary forms and documents to ICA via SOLAR + to Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) for processing of 4- 6 weeks
Singapore Immigration and Authority Checkpoints Authority also require a security deposit upon successful student’s pass application.

5. STUDENT PASS APPROVAL
- Telelingua will inform student of In-Principle Approval of Student’s Pass from ICA.successful student’s pass approval from ICA.
- Student will collect Student Pass from ICA (For students above 15 years old, medical check-up may be required prior to collection of Student Pass)
- Student will submit a photocopy of the Student Pass to Telelingua

6. PAYMENT OF SCHOOL FEES
- Duly signed Student Contract together with Course fee will be submitted by student before course commencement.
Modes of payment : cash/cheque/Nets/Telegraphic Transfer
Payment must be made in Singapore Dollars.
7. FEE PROTECTION SCHEME
- Telelingua will proceed to buy fee protection insurance and medical insurance under the Fee Protection Scheme within the same day (internet application) when fee is paid.
In the case of e-banking, the insurance effective date must be same as the date when the money is credit to Telelingua bank account. Insurance must be bought within 3 days after the money is credited to Telelingua’s bank account.

8. PLACEMENT TEST
- Student will sit for a placement test to determine the entry level
- Student will be placed in the appropriate class level which they begin the course.
9. ORIENTATION PROGRAMME
- Student will go through a comprehensive orientation programme where in-depth information about the school, course structure, term schedules, school rules, student grievance procedure and other administrative matters will be provided.
- Students will also be introduced to matters pertaining to living and studying in Singapore

Made payment of course fees to School at least 2 weeks prior to course commencement through either of the following forms:-
- Cash payment at School
- Cheque payment to "TeleLingua Educational Centre Pte Ltd"(for Insurance Scheme).
