Transfer / WithdrawalPolicy, Procedures and Forms

Introduction
The purpose of this policy is to ensure all enrolled students are treated fairly and reasonably when they wish to transfer and/or withdraw from Telelingua.

Transfer of Courses within Telelingua
This policy only applies to enrolled students who wish to transfer to another course within Telelingua.

A student who wishes to transfer from one course of study to another course of study within Telelingua must meet the following criteria:
  • The applicant satisfies the entry requirements for the course for which they are applying as per the Admissions and Enrolment Policy and Procedure.
  • Students submit a Student Transfer Course Form to support their application, including their reasons for wishing to transfer.

Transfers will be approved subject to applicants meeting these criteria. The applications will be considered on a case by case basis by the School Principal (or his/her delegated nominee).

For students below the age of 18, Telelingua must seek approval from the students’ parents/guardians before approving the application;

PEI must acknowledge the application and issue a formal letter to the student to reject the application or to effect the transfer of course.

Deemed Withdrawal: A Student who transfers from the Course to another course within Telelingua shall be deemed to have withdrawn from the Course and the provisions of Refund Policy shall apply save as otherwise agreed between Telelingua and the Student.

PEI must inform ICA of any change in students’ status that may affect the student’s pass issued (e.g. transfer to a course with a shorter duration, etc);

PEI must terminate existing student contract and signing new student contract for transfer of course;

PEI must coordinate with FPS service providers for any refund. Such refunds should be given back to the students within the stipulated period

Transfer School Policy
Student can apply for a letter of release to enable them to transfer to another PEI. The application must be accompanied by:

• Formal request for transfer via SOLAR+ system
• A letter of offer from Telelingua to which you wish to transfer

Students under 18 years of age MUST also have written evidence that the student’s parent(s)/legal guardian supports the transfer

All application for transfer school will be considered within 7 days and Telelingua is required to submit V36A Section B within 7 days from Date of Request. Failing which, ICA will deem the applicant has successfully completed his/her course in the preceding year/stage and his/her attendance and conduct are satisfactory. ICA will proceed to process the application for a Student’s Pass for transfer school accordingly.

Telelingua’s policy is to assess all transfer/withdrawal requests and that the student requesting a transfer has an accurate understanding of what the transfer represents to their study options, or that they still owe PEI course fees or that it is suspected that they are seeking transfer only due to failure to meet academic progress or attendance. The School Principal (or delegated nominee) will make any final decision as to whether to refuse a letter of release or withdrawal from a course of study for any student.

Telelingua will NOT provide a letter of release to students in the following circumstances:

• The student’s progress is likely to be academically disadvantaged
• Telelingua is concerned that the student’s application to transfer is a consequence of the adverse influence of another party

Students whose request for transfer has been refused may appeal the decision in accordance with Telelingua’s Dispute Resolution Policy.

Deemed Withdrawal: A Student who withdraws from Telelingua to enrol with another PEI shall be deemed to have withdrawn from the Course and the provisions of Refund Policy shall apply save as otherwise agreed between Telelingua and the Student.
